Day 1 - Sunday,  October 13   (travel day)
Our adventure to quaint and historic New England begins this morning as we look ahead to our travels through the "Granite State" of New Hampshire and the "Green Mountain State" of Vermont. Charm and history is evident with every turn in the road.
Lunch on your own along the way along with rest stops. Our journey is enhanced by vibrant autumn colors so prepare yourself for a "feast for the eyes" during our tour!


New Hampshire, home of the White Mountains and Mt Washington, the highest peak in the northeaster US at 6,289'. At one time it held the record for the highest winds recorded on earth at 231 mph.

Day 2 - Monday, October 14 
We will have breakfast at the hotel then after checking out, we will drive to New Hampshire.
Lunch will be on our own along the way along with rest stops. 

We will arrive in the heart of the White Mountains, at the popular hiking/skiing resort town of Lincoln for an exciting 4-person enclosed Gondola Sky Ride to the 2,733 foot summit of Loon Mountain. The 1.3 mile gentle ascent is New Hampshire's longest scenic ride and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 3 - Tuesday, October 11
Breakfast at the hotel.  We will then depart with our local New Hampshire guide to Castle in the Clouds. We will enjoy a self-guided tour and views of this famous 1913 mountaintop estate.

We will continue to Meredith, NH to enjoy lunch on our own and free time to visit the shops in this charming village on Lake Winnipesaukee.  This afternoon will enjoy a narrated Cruise on Squam Lake where on "On Golden Pond" was filmed.  
We will finished the day with a roasted turkey dinner on board the Lake Winnipesaukee Railroad.
Return to our hotel for a restful night.

Day 4 - Wednesday, October 16
Following breakfast, we check out our hotel with our New Hampshire guide and head toward Vermont. We will enjoy a narrated cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee aboard the
historic M/S Mount Washington, one of New Hampshire's most beloved icons from Weirs Beach to Wolfeboro. This is one of NH's largest lakes and the 2nd largest in New England.
Lunch will be on your own and free time
to visit the shops in this charming village. 

We will bid farewell to our guide and continue to Quechee, VT to visit the "Living the Dream" Alpaca Farm. When our visit is over, we will continue to the Quechee Gorge for photo opportunities at Vermont's "Little Grand Canyon."

Day 5 - Thursday, October 17
Enjoy breakfast and afterwards with our Vermont guide we will travel to the Morse Maple Sugar Farm.  One can not think of Vermont without visions of maple syrup on your favorite breakfast food! There we will see how maple syrup has been made for generations. We will see each spring sap is transformed into that tasty syrup that is actually trademarked as "Vermont Maple Syrup".  
While there we will sample at Maple Creemee and shop in the country shop.

We'll stop in the Capital City of Montpelier for a photo of the "Smallest Capitol Building" in the "Smallest Capital City" of all 50 states.

Then it's only a short drive to Stow for a hot and cold luncheon buffet complete with Austrian pastries at the famous Von Trapp Lodge. The Bavarian-style lodge was established by Maria Von Trapp of "Sound of Music" fame. After WWII, Maria made her home in this tiny alpine village because it reminded her of her native Austria. Following lunch, we will visit the property, lodge, gift shop, and hear all that is new with the  "Sound of Music" family.  The tour begins with an overview of the van Trapp Family history as well as the property's history and the family's early years in America. View a documentary film about Maria Van Trapp's memories during her final visit to her former home in Salzburg, Austria.

Now that we have completed our return journey home and you will be back in your own beds tonight and ready to share great memories of traveling with

Day 6 - Friday, October 18

After breakfast and checking out the hotel we have one last stop at the Vermont Country Store Weston, VT before continuing on to our overnight stop.

Dinner, Overnight - Heritage House, Lancaster, PA

Day 7 - Saturday, October 19

This morning all good things must come to an end we will eat breakfast and check out the hotel and depart for the Market at Shrewsbury, PA. 

Lunch is on your own with rest stops along the way. 

As we start making our way home with fond memories of time spent with fellow travelers immersed in the beauty of Mother Nature's autumn colors on display only once a year for all to enjoy in the special places called New Hampshire and Vermont.
